Unauthorized practice of law

Only lawyers are competent to apply law. It's unlawful for untrained people to prey on the community by positioning themselves to be attorneys in order to declare that they can provide legitimate solutions if they are not. The Rule of Law Society is in opposition to anyone who tries to use law devoid of appropriately experiencing this goals established for being an attorney those who have been caught giving legal counsel which is not an attorney are going to be permanently banned from joining the Rule of Law Society.

Including students that are practicing law and have not become lawyers to date, if you offer legal advice as a lawyer even if you know the law, this will not be looked upon kindly by members of the rule of law society, because each member of the Rule of Society holds themselves to higher conduct than any other organization, we pride ourselves on offering information that will be fully respected by clients who are looking for representation as well as our peers.

The Rule of Law Society also has responsibility to not accept members practicing offering legal advice who are non-lawyers who we believe this to be illegal and diminishes the true value a lawyer offers. This is part of our Membership Charter in Section 1.15.

The public can be harmed and risk financial hardship by entrusting someone without proper legal authority to give legal advice, and information given by someone who isn’t a lawyer can be damaging to a person or company’s future, if the wrong advice is offered. Also non lawyers are not subject the same standards a lawyer who is authorized and passed the state exams are affected by. Non lawyers are not subject the ethical standards a real lawyer subject to.
